the journey began with a seed asked quite simply, "if you could go anywhere right now, where would you go ?"... "into red dust, to the grand canyon". within a month, the road was before me, mapped with a last minute diversion to Boulder, where i would study singing bowl medicine . the first night of the trip, just before landing, Boulder flooded with an upheaval of earth and water which reflected to me in the old saying 'as above, so be low'. so the shift began. on the first day of class, Suren explained that the bowls would change us... and they have in more ways than i can fathom... i respond to this change with welcome, gratitude and tears of joy. i thank my beautiful teacher Suren Shrestha, whose class was exactly as it had been advertised Atma Buti "Soul Medicine ".Your words were eloquent and the perfect antidote . i share loving gratitude to those who have given me space to practice, the hikes and hikers who have stopped to listen on the rim of the canyon and a long pathways all over Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Virginia. And to the man who has helped me produce this album, Brett Zwerdling, thank you dear friend. Also and importantly, a thank you to the families that create these bowls with with metal, fire and mantra. I offer this album to you all with all of my heart and love. May you find the peace, tranquility, balance and love that i have left here for you.
